Abstract

An analysis of the precariousness of the working conditions of social work professionals in relation to social policy and its outsourcing is presented based on some findings: working conditions of Social Work graduates from the Universidad de Caldas between 2012 and 2019 who work in Manizales and La Dorada.

Methodology:

Quantitative and qualitative research techniques were combined, including a questionnaire and documentary and bibliographic review.

Results:

The outsourcing of social policies has had an impact on the precariousness of the working conditions of social workers in the municipalities of Manizales and La Dorada, among which flexibility in the forms of hiring, job instability, work overload, and low pay stand out.

Conclusion:

Social policy, the main field of action of social work professionals experienced a process of precariousness with repercussions on the working conditions of professionals.
