Abstract

COVID-19 brought new dynamics to classrooms and with it both educational and interpersonal relationships were modified.

Objective:

To analyze the perceptions and experiences of students regarding virtual education in times of the pandemic.

Methodology:

qualitative under the hermeneutic approach, and the case study was privileged as a research strategy. The participants were 10 students from a Higher Education program to whom in-depth interview was applied because it was considered a technique that allowed recovering perceptions of the educational process.

Results:

It was found that both teachers and students explore other methodologies that allow them to contribute to educational quality processes without ignoring the social and economic gaps that education is experiencing today.

Conclusions:

It is concluded that virtuality requires preparation and adaptation of both students and teachers to face the new realities.
