Abstract

AGUIRRE-CANO, Jhon Sebastián. Approaches to curricular change as epistemic transit in the training of Social Work in Colombia. Rev. eleuthera [online]. 2023, vol.25, n.1, pp.169-184.  Epub Jan 02, 2024. ISSN 2011-4532.  https://doi.org/10.17151/eleu.2023.25.1.9.

The article aims to propose contributions of the epistemology of historical consciousness and the present potential in the construction of a curricular change based on an epistemic transit in the training of Social Work in Colombia within the framework of the construction of common curricular guidelines promoted by the National Council for Education in Colombia (CONETS, 2020).

Methodology:

In the first place, some coordinates of the origin are delimited and some of the contributions of the epistemological proposal in Latin America and the Caribbean are pointed out. In the second place, a social, political, cultural and economic context of the profession in Colombia is built from the reading of coloniality modernity (Gómez, 2017). In third place, some keys to develop an epistemic transit in professional training is presented.

Conclusion:

The epistemic transit implies the incorporation of other meanings that configure the professionalization practices and for this the epistemic proposal proposed here is key.

Keywords : Epistemic thinking; training in Social Work; epistemic transit; subjectivity; experience.
