This article is a compendium of reflections on the peace agreements reached between the Colombian government and FARC and the role of citizenships in the building of environments that can translate into peace elaborated from the bases of society and that transcend the aforementioned agreements; reflections which demonstrate that a large majority ofthe population included in their habitus violent ways of relating to the world, which means directing efforts to make possible that Colombians overcome the paradigms of violence and destruction. In this scenario of overcoming said paradigms, art and art education take on a key role as they provide some of the greatest possibilities to reconfigure individual and collective subjectivities that will allow Colombian society to build real environments of peace, in which citizens will no longer be active actors of violence but they will become generators of peace.
