Abstract

BORRERO HERMIDA, María Cristina. Stories Woven by the Pandemic: Creative Artistic Projects in Times of Crisis. Pensam. palabra obra [online]. 2021, n.25, pp.92-117.  Epub Feb 19, 2022. ISSN 2011-804X.  https://doi.org/10.17227/ppo.num25-12298.

The potential of art for the development of critical and creative thinking in public schools has been poorly documented, in part due to the scarcity of institutional educational projects where art has a predominant character. This article product of the doctoral research called Pedagogical strategies for the development of critical and creative thinking through art, addresses the theory and pedagogical practice around this dyad, at the Ceinar educational institution whose mission is to train graduates in fine arts. The collaborative action research methodology allowed teachers to generate new pedagogical strategies conducive to critical and creative thinking, with art as a resource. An institution where knowledge is mobilized through interaction, experimentation, enjoyment, humor and other pedagogical actions that involve the body, voice and technological mediators is discovered. The context of the health emergency caused by covid-19 tested the capacity of the collaborative team of teachers. They adjusted the learning objectives, adopted new teaching and evaluation methodologies to accompany, make students think and guide them to transform the situations of crisis in moments of creativity during homeschooling, with the mediation of the incipient ICT tools available to them.

Keywords : artistic education; critical and creative thinking; collaboration; pandemic.
