In this article, we propose to address the educational dimension of unionism practiced by Section 22 of the National Union of Education Workers (SNTE) of the State of Oaxaca (Mexico) against the Educational Reform (2012-2018). Specifically, we will focus on their alternative educational proposal from which they battled against the educational changes raised during the presidential term of Enrique Peña Nieto. This proposal was called the Plan for the Transformation of Education in Oaxaca (PTEO). In addition, we will seek to articulate the PTEO with the other dimensions of unionism deployed by the section. The research was a case study, where various techniques were used, such as semi-structured interviews, observation, and work with secondary data. One of the main conclusions of the article is that the strengthening of its educational dimension contributed to the strengthening of its union activity against Educational Reform.
