In this theoretical-methodological approach, it is recognized that Colombia is a South American country in which the word resistance has become active, such as Colombia resists! Puerto Resistencia (in Cali), Portal de la Resistencia (in Bogotá). A national strike that arose as a result of a tax law reform (April 2021) led to the confrontation of broad sectors of the population against the government. During the months of protest, a set of video songs circulated on social networks in which the prevalent situation in different regions of the territory was reported. The purpose of this study is to recognize the plot of narrative discourses and the cultural meanings that are manifested through popular music. These discourses cause an impact on the participants and supporters of the national strike because through the songs they call for resistance-insubordination (Todorov, 2016), for example, the rejection of the forms that support national politics (Ruiz, 2018) and envision a shared ideal. Six constitutive songs of an artistic semi spheres were selected, of a musicalized text that is related to the culture and a system of codes (Lotman, 1996), which in this exhibition is considered an object of study and representative of a whole, not discreet and segmented into distinctive features that are represented by chains of symbols that can be interpreted in the sociocultural context.

: semiotics; text; oral expression; popular art; resistance to oppression.
