This text seeks to analyze, in a comparative manner, the ways in which the inquisitorial proceedings were presented against the Solicitantes in the courts of the Spanish Inquisition in America during the seventeenth century, in a context where the Tribunal of the Holy Office, from its district courts in America (Mexico, Lima and Cartagena) tried to replicate procedures and values that this institution brought from the Old World. To do these three inquisitorial processes of applicants were chosen to elucidate the development of the procedures of the Holy Office.
