This article presents the process in which the black and afro discourse emerges in school texts. The images and texts are taken as primary archives to give an account of its context and structure. Likewise, the surrounding discourses between 1991 and 2018 are highlighted. The research is taken from the archeological and genealogical perspective showing the tensions in social and educational areas. It also shows how school texts has become a device for sustaining the hegemony of racism and discrimination which for years had in teaching the idea of black people anchored to the Colony.
