CORREA MANCHOLA, Arlovich  y  ERAZO CAICEDO, Édgar Diego. Communicative and Cultural Mutations in the School. Aleth. rev. desarro. hum. educ. soc. contemp. [online]. 2020, vol.12, n.1, pp.157-174.  Epub 24-Nov-2020. ISSN 2145-0366.

This article is installed in the field of Latin American's cultural studies. It uses ethno-graphy techniques to observe the communicative and cultural interactions of young people in the school, and the interaction between teachers and students in the media ecology, digital migrations and mutations in culture and communication. The research's purpose was to clarify the contexts and the cultural changes in institutions for edu-cation in a peripheric region of Colombia. In that context, teachers coming from the oral culture try to teach the written culture of the school to young people who were born, and live, in the ecology of screens and the audiovisual-iconic-digital culture. In that sense, it draws a night map of this new "Comanche territory" of cultural muta-tions, communicative experiences, and human interactions in an emerging school under an unequal society, hyper-connected, but digitally divided. In these contexts, this work aimed to answer the following questions: What kind of communication is possible between teachers and students, based on their experiences with information and communication technologies? How can we improve the communication of these cultures, and the strengthening of a critical, relevant and liberating education? The findings suggest that the school needs to be interactive and adapt its oral tradition as an interface that have a conversation with the student's technological contexts.

Palabras clave : cultural mutations; digital migration; hypertextuality; communication; interface.
