Abstract

SARDI, Valeria. Knowledges and Gendered Bodies in Teaching Language and Literature: Between Secondary School and Teacher-Training. Aleth. rev. desarro. hum. educ. soc. contemp. [online]. 2020, vol.12, n.2, e1.  Epub Dec 12, 2020. ISSN 2145-0366.  https://doi.org/10.11600/ale.v12i2.593.

This work introduces some advances in our research "Teacher-training in Literary Arts from an Approach on the Basis of Gender: An Outstanding Debt?" (2016-2019), directed by Valeria Sardi, PhD., carried out at the Interdisciplinary Center of Gender Research of the Research Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences at the School of Humanities and Education Sciences of the University of La Plata, in which we analyze the senses in dispute around the curricular and gender knowledges that arise throughout the first years of the Teacher Training Course in Literary Arts at our University. In turn, we investigate how different ways to proceed, that tense or integrate the sex-gender dimension, are configured in the place where the teacher training practice occurs. In this sense, from the analysis of pieces of writing of teacher trainees who keep a record of their own training in Language Practice and Literature classes in classrooms from secondary schools of the city of La Plata (province of Buenos Aires, Argentina), we investigate the ways in which the students appropriate the specific kinds of knowledge, which are interwoven with the sex-gender dimension and, at the same time, how their bodies and their corporalities become involved and participate in the genderized epistemic construction.
