This article presents the results of the research project “Prácticas y pautas de crianzas: del territorio ancestral al territorio urbano”. Its purpose is to analyze the trans-formations of the breeding practices when indigenous families Embera-Katío and Nasa migrate to the urban space. The methodology is descriptive and takes a collective case study using family life stories. The results are presented in two parts: Ancestral territory and raising practices, and transits to the urban. The analysis deals with the construction of new identities and the raising children from cultural practices that must be taken to all educational spaces.

Keywords : Raising practices; intercultural education; territory; transformations; indigenous people.
