Rwanda, Bosnia Herzegovina and Colombia since the 1990s are experiencing transitional processes through which they seek to move from social conflicts to reconciliation and peace.

Taking as a basis those scenarios that historically coincided as places for the expression of violence and confrontation, the aim is to recreate the configuration of forgiveness based on the chronicle as a literary genre.

The exercise, executed from a qualitative model with historical hermeneutic focus focused on documentary research, throws a theoretical reflection of forgiveness that reveals a view where meanings are intermingled that compromise it with its dimension of human action, its potential against the generated evil, with its conditioning, forgetfulness and memory.
