Abstract

The development of the scientific and technological activity by scientists and intellectuals in Latin America during the 60 and 70 decades of the XX century, put in evidence the practical epistemic values that conform it, therefore to assess the ethic dimension of this activities constitutes the main objective of this study. To accomplish this research, the general methods of knowledge are utilized, which are the proper ones of the theoretical level and the social thinking as well, the documental analysis as a research technique, through the latent analysis of the content. The efficacious assessment of the use of the science and technology to revert the negative tendencies, the use of this material in the post-graduate studies about the subject, are elements that prove the practical application. Its originality consists of the assessment of the ethic comprehension as one of the articulating axis of the science and technology social approach in the t in the Latin-American con text. It is clear the linkage among the science, technology and the ethic dimension in each of the authors that were consulted, from a subjacent ethic, from the responsibility, transparency and social compromise principles.
