Abstract

GARCIA-CONDE, Luisa. "Sinú, riberas de asombro jubiloso", an Idyllic Poem. perifrasis. rev.lit.teor.crit. [online]. 2014, vol.5, n.9, pp.36-47. ISSN 2145-8987.

Jorge Artel confronts his contradictory and divided World in "Sinú, riberas de asombro jubiloso" with the proposal of an idyll based on the ideal of recovery of a paradise that has been lost or is in the brink of extinction. The rupture with the chronological and historical time allows the recovery of primeval space-time coordinates which transformed in sign, forms the building blocks of his identity. We began revising the general theoretical principles on idyllic works to later analyze Artel's long poem where we find that spite of its idyllic exaltation, offers a strong social and ethnic vindication in consonance with his literary corpus.
