Abstract

ASTORINO, Julieta; SAPOROSI, Lucas  and  ZICAVO, Eugenia. A SOCIO-CULTURAL ANALYSIS OF MOTHERHOOD AND ABORTION IN RECENT ARGENTINIAN LITERATURE. perifrasis. rev.lit.teor.crit. [online]. 2017, vol.8, n.15, pp.44-57. ISSN 2145-8987.

Considering that motherhood and abortion are addressed from a plurality of discourses, this article analyzes different representations about motherhood and abortion in Argentinian fiction from the triennium 2006-2009, from a sociocultural perspective. From the analysis of a number of selected literary texts, the article seeks to investigate the links between the construction of maternity as a social relationship and literature, as a space of confluence of diverse social discourses, which are resignified in different fields of circulation.

Keywords : argentinian literature; representations; maternity; abortion; sociology of culture.
