Abstract

RODAS, Giselle Carolina  and  SALERNO, María Paula. TRADITION AND CULTURAL TENSION IN LA TROVA BY AURORA VENTURINI. perifrasis. rev.lit.teor.crit. [online]. 2018, vol.9, n.17, pp.59-74. ISSN 2145-8987.  https://doi.org/10.25025/perifrasis20189.17.04.

This article provides a hermeneutic study of the book of poetry La trova (1962), by the Argentinian writer Aurora Venturini (1921-2015). This is a significant book among her literary works, as it is a sign of the aesthetic turn that occurred in Venturini’s creative project during the sixties, which was evidenced in the passage from poetry to narrative. La trova presents a persona affected by the tensions and oppositions of different cultural features, whose identity is defined through the dialog with the medieval tradition.

Keywords : Aurora Venturini; La trova; Argentinian poetry; medieval tradition; cultural tensions.
