Resumen
GOMEZ, Verónica Paula. (DE)CODIFICATION MACHINES. EXPANDED TRANSLATION IN LATIN AMERICAN ELECTRONIC LITERATURE. perifrasis. rev.lit.teor.crit. [online]. 2019, vol.10, n.20, pp.94-116. ISSN 2145-8987. https://doi.org/10.25025/perifrasis201910.20.05.
This work explores the concept of expanded translation, a practice that overflows its hegemonic task during Modernity-translating verbal national languages into a Western inter-national system-to decode different non-verbal languages through writing machines. What decoding emerges through the experimental use of expanded translation in Latin American electronic literature? Taking the premise that all language is a code, the recursive analysis of four Latin American experimental works exposes inequalities, deviations, interests in different contexts of production and consumption.
