Abstract

The use of technology in learning environments can contribute to achieve learning goals provided the training needed to use and apply such resources. Here we present the results of the study of the teaching strategies mediated by technology and employed by basic education teachers. The objective was to identify and describe such strategies by means of the socio-cultural paradigm seen from the qualitative standpoint. The data obtained give information about pedagogical aspects that foster motivation for applying information and communication technologies as tools whose objective is to enhance academic output in mathematics. It was found that the most commonly tools used by teachers were blogs, virtual communication and web resources; likewise, the importance of learning communities was recognized.
