This topic is related to upbringing practices of family and adult caregivers who have to take care of children under the age of 6. This field of study has generated many differences and has been investigated by many self-controlled individuals; we want to show that the culture is transversal to its process. This article refers to Colombia in learning that what has occurred in terms of upbringing practices in family and adult caregivers. This refers to research conducted in the period between 2003 and 2013. This article is the result of a rigorous work of literature, reviewed in relation to upbringing practices of the family and adult caregivers of children under six years of age and provides sufficient information to assess growth and conceptual gaps so that it can promotes research on this subject.
