Abstract

ARIAS, María Alejandra  and  TOLMOS SAPONARA, Daniel. The metaverbal activity in teaching oral argumentation to thrid grade children. Zona prox. [online]. 2016, n.25, pp.49-69. ISSN 2145-9444.  https://doi.org/10.14482/zp.22.5832.

Abstract The study arose from our interest in promoting critical contextualization of language pedagogy and didactics as informed by the theories adopted within the line of research "Sistemas didácticos en el campo del lenguaje", followed by the Master In Education at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia. This project pursued two aims: a) implementing a methodological sequence (oriented by a didactic sequences approach) based on the concept of metaverbal activity as an organizer of discourse that can improve children´s oral expression, and b) fostering an authentic use of argumentation within real-life communication situations.

Keywords : argumentation; didactic sequence; metaverbal activity; orality.
