BRUNNQUEL, Vanessa et al. Supply chain resilience: a case study in a metal-mechanical company. suma neg. [online]. 2018, vol.9, n.19, pp.25-35. ISSN 2215-910X.  https://doi.org/10.14349/sumneg/2018.v9.n19.a4.

An increasing number of risks and ruptures of the flows of goods in global chains can cause the failure of lots of companies that are not able to adapt its processes and organizational structures. In this sense, the development and adoption of resilient practices has become vital to the maintenance and survival of the business, especial SME industries that which usually have outsourced processes and few suppliers for each procedure performed, which leave them vulnerable to possible ruptures in their supply chains. This study aims to map the current practices of a small industry in order to verify if these practices can contribute to supply chain resilience. For that, the case study method was used, analysing the resilient practices upstream and downstream of the metal-mechanical industry. Thus, different resilient practices (internal and external) were identified from a counterpoint between empirical and theoretical results.
