Abstract

This study has as objective to identify the reasons that leads consumers of Distrito Federal to buy digital games, through the division of this central purpose in two points: identify the characteristics used as evaluation criteria for the choice of a game and study the relationship between price perception and perceived value. An applied research was carried out with quantitative and qualitative aspects, of exploratory and descriptive approach using a questionnaire previously prepared to obtain the data. Then analysis was made about the 200 questionnaires answered. Posteriorly, it was observed that: the most preferred genres of games were action, adventure, Role Playing Game (RPG) and shooting; the most important factors in the purchase of a game are gameplay, story (plot), promotion and that the game be a pastime, proportion of escape and/or resting of reality; and both gameplay and story are considered more important than promotion.
