OROZCO SOLIS, Mercedes Gabriela et al. Good Treatment in School: an Analysis from the Perspective of Mexican Middle School Teachers. Prax. Saber [online]. 2024, vol.15, n.40, pp.84-102. Epub 26-Fev-2025. ISSN 2216-0159. https://doi.org/10.19053/uptc.22160159.v15.n40.2024.16151.
Good treatment is a social competence aimed at generating well-being through the expression of positive affection, kindness, and consideration. The objective of this article was to analyze the perception of the components that are part of good treatment in school from the perspective of middle school teachers. The focus group technique was used, with the participation of 25 middle school teachers from the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara. The data was subjected to content analysis in the MAXQDA 18 program. Through the coding and categorization process, five categories were identified: received good treatment, good treatment among teachers, consideration, kindness, and self-generated good treatment. The findings indicate that a collaborative and reciprocal environment among teachers contributes to good treatment. Furthermore, the significance of teachers feeling supported by the school management staff and being acknowledged by students for their efforts is highlighted. It is concluded that the perception of good treatment in the workplace is shaped by interpersonal components derived from interaction with students, colleagues, and superiors.
