This article is the result of research focused on the tensions of users' digital bodies and their movements in cyberculture. It maps activities on applications like WhatsApp, Instagram, and TikTok to observe what happens with social relations and teaching and learning processes in virtual communities. The study contributes to cultural studies and contemporary languages in educational sciences. A qualitative research methodology with a netnographic approach was designed and structured in three phases: entry planning into the virtual community, recording experiences, and composing trajectories. Data collection tools such as interviews, observation, and experience recording were used, emphasizing the importance of netnography in approaching the digital world, which increasingly absorbs daily life in the social practices of education. The results highlight the tension between digital bodies as material representations being absorbed by virtualization in the digital era, struggling not to lose identity. The study concludes that these are expanded bodies navigating the digital world, interacting with the metaverse, which is becoming more of a reality in digital educational practices, showing how they can move through it with avatars and characters representing the body.
