Abstract

Introduction: Breast cancer is a threat to health because it is the second leading cause of death in women 30 to 50 years old. The diagnosis, treatment and recovery of women with breast cancer creates stressful situations the way how to face adaptation influences. Objective: To know the level adaptation and facing of the women with breast cancer, taken care of in an institution of health of Durango, Dgo. Mexico. Materials and Methods: Quantitative descriptive study, applying instrument validated in Mexican population, with (alpha, 7969) a "scale of measurement of the process of facing and adaptation" from Callista Roy" in 22 women with breast cancer. Results: The women with breast cancer adapt and confront their problem of health, with an integrated level of adaptation and compensatory being able to distinguish that where presents/displays difficulty it is in the physiological physical way. Discussion and Conclusions: According to the study "it fits psychosocial and facing in patients with breast cancer" is a difference in that the participants did not undergo changes from the opposite disease to our work since the participants acquire new possibilities and capacities. The adaptation of the women who have suffered cancer of breast is a dynamic process, face manifolds imbalances which they affect his dimensions emotional, physical, mental and social. The level could be known adaptation and facing of the women with breast cancer verifying who in their majority present/display an integrated level of adaptation and does not jeopardize.
