Abstract

Introduction: The growth and development of children, requires strengthening the bond with parents, to intervene the needs from the different dimensions, the nurse as caregiver, from initial contact with parents and children through educational support oriented objective of addressing the behavioral reactions of the child at different stages. Materials and Methods: A case Information revised program training practice growth and development of a Health Care low complexity metropolitan area, applying the nursing process and analysis of the patient's situation from the theoretical benchmark Kathryn Barnard. Results: The nursing process done in the case, to prioritize care, which aims to support parents' education, contributing to the intervention of conditions affecting growth and development, based on identified needs. Discussion and Conclusions: By parents timely intervention oriented educational support, allows to identify the care that must be changed and that strengthen the growth and development. The nurse in training through the application of the nursing process in its formative practice helps to recognize standardized language strengthens the unity of purpose for their professional.
