TORRES CONTRERAS, Claudia Consuelo et al. REPRODUCIBILITY OF A QUESTIONNAIRE: QUALITY OF NURSING CARE IN HOSPITALIZED PATIENTS. Rev Cuid [online]. 2016, vol.7, n.2, pp.1338-1344. ISSN 2216-0973. https://doi.org/10.15649/cuidarte.v7i2.339.
Introduction: Measuring the quality of nursing care requires the use of valid and reliable scales. Thus the aim of the study was to determine the reproducibility of the questionnaire quality of nursing care in hospitalized patients in an institution providing health services. Materials and Methods: Evaluation of diagnostic tests, the internal consistency was determined and the test retest reproducibility of the questionnaire, based on two dimensions: experiences and satisfaction with nursing care. Random probability sampling type simple. Results: Regarding the reproducibility of the instrument, in the dimension of experience with care, most of the items are with intraclass correlation coefficients below 0.7, with an average of 0.62; in the dimension of satisfaction of care, most of the items are above 0.7 with an average of 0.87. The reliability of the instrument measured by Cronbach's alpha was 0.93, in the dimension of experience 0.90 and 0.98 in the dimension of satisfaction. Discussion: The questionnaire Quality Nursing Care, in its two dimensions of experience and satisfaction of care was properly understood by the participants and then their application is considered reliable for patients of different hospital services. Conclusions: The instrument is reliable for assessing the quality of care scale. The instrument showed a high degree of reproducibility for the dimension of satisfaction with care.
