This article looks at the relation between education and peace in light of the guarantees of non-repetition for the termination of the armed conflict in Colombia. Considering the importance of education as a central measure for the non-repetition of violence, the article analyzes recommendations in the field of education included in the reports of the truth commissions of three Latin American countries. This aspect has not been appropriately considered in the educational policy of the National Development Plan: "All for a New Country" (2014-2018).
