Abstract
DIAZ BONILLA, Paola Andrea. Sexual Abuse of Children in the Weave of Social Representations of Being a Girl. Trab. soc. [online]. 2020, vol.22, n.1, pp.127-151. ISSN 2256-5493. https://doi.org/10.15446/ts.v22n1.79237.
The article presents a research on the social representations of being a girl in the municipalities of Chitaraque and Aquitania, in the department of Boyacá, as an element to understand the sexual abuse to which girls in this region are subjected. This qualitative research project used discussion groups to identify the central and peripheral nucleus of representation, grounded in the phenomenological interpretive paradigm. The identified contents highlight the interrelation between age and gender as factors that contribute to the systematicity of violences against girls and of different forms of violation and negation of childhood due to patriarchal, adult-centered action.
