Abstract

This article analyzes the process of student unionization, especially on Social Work students in Colombia from the ways of inhabit virtual spaces, the links created between members and the relational transits established between cyberspace and physical environments. The methodology is qualitative and the techniques to collect data were online interviews and participant observation in social networks. As a result, it was identified that the virtuality strengthens professional identity, generate relationships that transcend the academic layer and configure mediations for the construction of face-to-face meetings at a national level. In conclusion, the virtual and physical worlds are connected, articulated, and relational.
