The processes of organization and participation in the care of the world's largest paramo, located in the territory of Sumapaz, are historical and have made it possible to position resistance to economic and ecotourism megaprojects that would affect the natural conditions of said the mentioned ecosystem. The purpose of this article is to reflect on the relevance that women's community agencies have had in Sumapaz in the preservation of the environment, as a guarantor of the well-being of the community and the territory. The narratives were the strategy that allowed some women to learn about the scope of their agency and their participation in these processes of struggle and territorial protection.
