Abstract

PINEDA MARTINEZ, Edgar Oswaldo  and  OROZCO PINEDA, Paula Andrea. Pedagogy of Emotions as a Contribution to Emancipatory Education with Social Justice. Trab. soc. [online]. 2023, vol.25, n.1, pp.199-225.  Epub Mar 02, 2023. ISSN 2256-5493.  https://doi.org/10.15446/ts.v25n1.101914.

This article presents the interpretation of qualitative findings from four investigations on the pedagogy of emotions. In particular, it accounts for the presence and absence of emotions in educational projects in Latin American and Caribbean countries. It is based on a theoretical perspective that considers that emotions are political, intersubjective, and cognitive, distancing itself from the dualistic paradigms of emotion-reason that have predominated in Latin American education, and calls for a presence of a pedagogy of emotions that rescues the philosophical precepts of native peoples.
