Abstract

This review article presents a theoretical comparison of the police salary reality, compared to the stipends of 16 State entities in occupational matters and 14 on a nominal level, analysed under the criteria of homogeneity - difference, proceeding from a qualitative approach with a descriptive nature. Based on the triangulation of data from different sources, an attempt is made to show the reader different organisational scenarios and their relationship with the legal, salary, benefits, functions and competencies regimes. For this purpose, a context analysis is carried out, whose general objective is to align the stages of identifying similarities and dissimilarities related to hierarchical structures, risk levels, remuneration policy and legal framework that define them, managing to identify the existing gaps between stipends from the public sector and the Colombian National Police.
