Abstract

ZAPATA AVILA, JUAN GUILLERMO. CONFIGURATION OF THE PARTISAN AND CONSTITUTIONAL DISCOURSE: THE RIVALRY BETWEEN "BOLIVIANS" AND "CONSTITUTIONALISTS". Novum Jus [online]. 2022, vol.16, n.2, pp.107-132.  Epub Dec 07, 2022. ISSN 1692-6013.  https://doi.org/10.14718/novumjus.2022.16.2.5.

This article aims to analyze how a partisan and constitutional discourse was configured and disseminated in the press during the Republic of Colombia, based on a rivalry between the followers of Bolívar and Santander, which led to the emergence of partisan tendencies that failed to constitute a clear and definitive political discourse. The article is part of a broader research, which was developed based on figurative sociology and conceptual referents of political discourse analysis, using as its main source the political press of the time.

Keywords : partisan discourse; constitutional discourse; Bolivians; constitutionalists.
