This article, through an interpretative process, presents an analysis of the expressions institutions and Colombian conflict. It shows that the historical configuration of the Colombian social order and its exclusionary and refractory character are reflected in the mirror image of an institutional order in which any transformation in a post-conflict context will be sterile as long as the factual conditions of the population subject of the transformations remain unchanged, frustrating again the aspirations of the development, as evidenced in the Colombian history. Likewise, from the analytical and explanatory framework developed in the body of the article, the challenges of the peace process signed between the Colombian Government and the FARC-Ep are expressed in different areas. The objective is to contribute to the theoretical discussion on the institutional theme whose original approach is more appropriate for interpreting colombian reality; and to provoke discussion on the future of the ongoing peace process.
