The aim of this work is to contend that the solution to the transformation problem is to continue with the iterative process started in the third volume of Capital. The specific objective is to show that a rigorous application of Marx's method of political economy implies the exposure of the intermediate nexus that connect the labor theory of value with the theory of prices of production. To this end, Marx's approach, the Bortkiewicz-Winternitz solution, and the Morishima iterative method are compared.
