The centrality of the agribusiness sector in the generation of currency in Argentina has transformed public policy for the sector into one of the keys to understanding the evolution of economic performance. This article analyzes the trajectory of the agro-export sector considering recent transformations of economic policy in the twenty-first century. Thus, a brief review of recent history and transformation in the development of agribusiness is given, and main sector policies undertaken by the governments under analysis are discussed. In order to do so, research is carried out on normative aspects, production results, fiscal and balance of payment effects, concentration of property and the insertion of these class fractions in the block in power.
