a Editor

Another year of hard editorial work at La Palabra journal has been done. Therefore, it is essential, for the year to come, to overview how it was this difficult time. In a year surrounded by COVID-19 we did not choose to collect papers from this disastrous moment. We followed our schedule in the issues planned for 2020.

The main goal achieved this year was the change of the periodicity of each issue. Issues every four months was a really big challenge since La Palabra traditionally was published every semester. Furthermore, it was published two dossiers -one of them related to Jorge Luis Borges, and the other one referred to biography as a literary genre. The miscellaneous issues deal with different approaches to Colombian Literature, aesthetics, Chilean Poetry, Peruvian Literature, Argentinian Literature and Poetry, Spanish Poetry, and Classic English Literature.

The journey to publish four issues has been achieved successfully with the invaluable support of Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia, the great work of the editorial assistant, the important role of the peer reviewers, and, indeed, of the authors who enriched each issue with their researches. Considering the new periodicity, we consider that is useful and significant to get into the continuous publication as a new model of our journal publishing. The closing period of each issue will be every four months, accepting submissions at any time of the year, only considering the closure of every issue. This practice will allow a better response and a faster editorial process.

Thus, for the forthcoming year a dossier will be set referring to Literature and Cinema in charge of our Associate Editor Lauro Zavala, and another one related to Oral Literature in charge of Aurelio González and Adrián Freja. In the same way, as traditionally, I am in charge of miscellaneous issues.

It is significant to maintain miscellaneous issues since the openness of different topics is academically valuable. Hence, it is published in the issue 39 papers from Argentina, Spain and Brazil.

This issue is formed with four papers on Argentinian Literature, Spanish Poetry, and Classic English Literature. "Diarios falsos, confesiones fabuladas y rostros hechos a medida: las performances intimistas de Alan Pauls" [Fake diaries, made up confessions and bespoke faces: the intimate performances of Alan Pauls], studies the work of Alan Pauls, an innovate and polifacetic Argentinian author who breaks the rules of genres and classic styles. "La cuestión del territorio en la poesía argentina contemporánea: objetivismo, "poesía de los noventa" y un experimento en la Antártida." [Territory in Contemporanean Argentinian Poetry: objectivism, 1990's poetry, and Antarctic experiment], examines the place of space in some Argentinian poetry. Likewise the Spaniard José Ángel Valente poet is studied from the interrelation between poetry and music. To close this issue out, a paper on Classic English Literature presents the connection between literature and cinema on a paper entitled "Science Fiction and Religion: A parallel between The Time Machine and Perelandra".

This editorial year for La Palabra has ended. I would like to invite authors, readers, peer reviewers of our journal to keep an eye on, read over, and comment on this issue.
