In 2019, the Acta Colombiana de Psicología journal fulfilled a large number of objectives, especially with regard to its visibility, since it achieved its inclusion in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), as well as the reassessment and indexing ratification in the Redalyc Scientific Information System and indexing in the Directory of Open Access Journal (DOAJ), all internationally recognized indexing systems. Likewise, the journal achieved the link to different communities, such as the OJS of AmeliCA, the Collaboration Network of the VHL (Virtual Health Library), and the FLACSO, of Argentina, with the inclusion in the interactive map of the Red Latinoamericana de Revistas Académicas en Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades-LatinREV [Latin American Network of Academic Journals in Social Sciences and Humanities (LatinREV, for its Spanish acronym].

On the other hand, in terms of editorial characteristics, the journal included the ORCID code for each of its authors. The number of articles -15 per published issue-was increased, and the articles layout format was modified. Also, regarding periodicity, it was possible to publish the present issue - Vol. 23, No. 1 - estimated for the period from January to June 2020, and make it visible on the website since December 2019. Even the update to version 3.0 of the Open Journal Systems (OJS) was done and the link to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) was obtained. Likewise, for the present year, the improvement of some bibliometric indicators for the journal (2015-2019) must be emphasized, which will be detailed in one of the studies to be published in Vol. 23, No. 2, in 2020.

Finally, and to conclude, fifteen contributions corresponding to the areas of health psychology, clinical psychology, psychometrics, social psychology, organizational psychology and gerontology are presented in the current issue. Regarding these articles, their wide international geographic and institutional coverage stands out, since the works come from countries like Mexico, with contributions from the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas, Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez, Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila, Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo, Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México and Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico. From Spain, with contributions from the Universidad de Granada and Universidad Complutense de Madrid. From Argentina, the Universidad Siglo 21 and the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. From Dominican Republic, the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. From Venezuela, the Universidad Arturo Michelena. From Costa Rica, the Universidad de Costa Rica. From Chile, the Fundación Scalabrini, the Universidad Alberto Hurtado and the Universidad de Viña del Mar. From Brazil, the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, the Universidade Federal de São Paulo, the Universidade Federal de Santa Maria and the IMED. From Peru, the Universidad Católica Sedes Sapientiae. From the United States, Washington State University; and, finally, from Colombia, with contributions from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Cali), the Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Tunja (Tunja) and the Universidad Católica de Colombia (Bogotá).
