Nowadays, Revista Tecnura aims at becoming a publication that gathers high-standard articles as well as becoming a magazine preferred by every single professor, post-graduate-level student and researcher for his/her research work to be published. At this moment, the magazine is undergoing a process of continuous improvement in its academic activities as much as in its administrative activities. The main purpose is to gain greater recognition and at the same time improve every single process so as to get closer to the ultimate goal, namely becoming a truly international magazine.

This issue of the magazine included thirteen articles. Most of these remarkable articles include the results of research work in various technological fields.

Revista Tecnura is also eager to inform that from this very issue onwards, its traditional sections, namely con-ciencias, recreaciones, imágenes and reseñas will change. The new sections of the magazine will now be research, reflection, review and academy These changes are intended to keep a closer relation with the type of articles that will be published as well as facilitating a more faithful translation of such sections into languages like English and Portuguese

The present issue of Revista Tecnura is No 33 Volume 16. This particular issue includes a section called "Fe de Errata" (Misprint Faith), whose intention is to acknowledge and correct a few mistakes unintentionally published in previous issues. These corrections have been suggested by the authors themselves. The section is appended at the end of the magazine, and is found before the subscription forms.

Tecnura would like to thank all the people who put their efforts and hard work for the magazine to be a great success. Thanks to the following heads of department: Aldemar Fonseca, dean of the Faculty Technological Studies, Octavio Salcedo, dean of the Faculty of Engineering, José Nelson Pérez, director of the Research Center. We are also grateful to Rubén Carvajalino, head of the publications department, whose timely actions made this magazine possible. Special thanks are due to the magazine's assistants Camila Slagado and Diego Giral who worked unconditionally hard and showed their commitment to Revista Tecnura! Finally, we are very grateful to the authors for allowing us to present their valuable contributions to technological knowledge and growth. We also encourage our eager readers to continue tracking the results of the research studies published in this new issue of Revista Tecnura.
