In recent years, the participation of international authors has greatly increased in the Journal Civilizar Ciencias Sociales y Humanas. Between 2010 and 2012 the publication of foreign origin articles has been of 30% on average. The main contributions are including both Universities and Research Centers in Latin America and Europe; with which, it may be noted that the visibility and impact of the journal has reached other latitudes. In this way, we are consolidating new networks of cooperation and collaboration, and the aim of scientific outreach proposed in our policy of editorial excellence is being achieved considerably. In addition, it is important to say, that the participation of foreign authors is a recognition to our quality of content, editorial quality and compliance with the international standards and regulations.

On the other hand, I inform to our readers and authors that in attention to a growing demand by international authors on the inclusion of new sections to the journal, from the present edition book reviews will be included, which is the result of researches and translations to the Spanish language of high impact articles with important scientific value to the social and human sciences. These documents will follow the editorial and evaluation process established by the journal in compliance with the standards of publication, in line to our main objective that is the publication of original and unpublished articles result of research.
