Knowledge society is not a new expression. Society trough history have always had a relation with knowledge, and had modified that relation constantly. Although, Nonetheless, never as nowdays, and in the way is anticipated for the closer future, societies have placed knowledge in the richness chain of productivity. Knowledge changed its tacit status and became an explicit-massive context; this later aspect had lead to universalize the sentence: "we are living in the knowledge society".

The knowledge which is produced by academic, scientific and technological communities, and even the produced outside them, have intricate transference systems which seems to subdue, overflow, suffocate and exclude us. The complex forms of exclusion and self-exclusion of our contemporary societies are not easily visible and either are subjects of political control or citizen revision; they are dense and complex on their operation strategies.

Given this situation, the open-access options to publications (e.g., open-access journals) have a critical role; that is why our journal, Universitas Psychologica, have oriented its dynamics toward the inclusion of its contents in the open-access systems of. Recently we had been included in the biggest serial publications directory named ULRICH´s Periodicals Directory (USA) (http://www.ulrichsweb.com) and in the databases of the Directory of Open Access Journals -DOAJ- (Lund University, Sweden - http:// www.doaj.org/,system which already has 2.359 listed journals). Right now we are working on the inclusion of all the Universitas Psychologica published contents in the DOAJ database because this is the way we could be searchable through this important web portal. Other international databases which recently included us are: ELEKTRONISCHE ZEITSCHRIFTENBIBLIOTHEK (EZB) - University Library of Regensburg - Germany; UNIVERSITÄTSBIBLIOTHEK BRAUNSCHWEIG - Braunschweig University Library - Germany; NEWJOUR - University of California - San Diego, USA; JOURNAL FINDER - The University of North Carolina, USA y RESEARCH INFORMATION SERVICE SYSTEM - Japan.

Finally, as a complement of these activities, we are inviting our readers to visit the journal´s web page; definitely it is a powerful reference source of the knowledge transference systems through the Internet. We are looking by this way to extend the psychological knowledge visibility and be closer to more intensive or no-intensive users, also, we want to turn our journal´s Web page an open-access resource to the complex mentioned knowledge transference systems.
