Revista Médica de Risaralda is a biannual journal, published by the Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira. It has been edited since April 1994 in the city of Pereira in the coffee growing region of Colombia. This publication is directed to health professionals, students and researchers of health sciences. The publication evolves as part of the process of research groups and intend to contribute to the decision making process of the public and private health sectors through scientific evidence derived from original research and/or systematic reviews. The journal also has the additional objective of contributing to the scientific education of pregraduate and postgraduate students.
