Historia Crítica is a journal published by the Departamento de Historia de la Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia). This half-yearly journal has, continuously since founded in 1989, by publishing original articles, intended to play a role in the development of the history discipline in Colombia, a country which urgently needs to strengthen the historic and social sciences studies. Historia Crítica was created and consolidated as an instrument of broad debate for the national and international academic community. The journal is also a mean of wide divulgation which presents the research results, the historiographic analysis and the academic disquisition.
