The Revista de Estudios Sociales (RES) is an academic journal published since 1998 by the Social Sciences’ Faculty of the Universidad de los Andes and the Fundación Social. With three issues each year (in April, August, and December), RES contributes to the diffusion of research, analyses, and opinions that both national and international scholars, in addition to other non-academic sectors of society, have on social problems. In this sense, the journal seeks to broaden the scope of social research, with aims to understand better our reality and improve the population’s living conditions.
