<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.co/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S0120-02832020000100039&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.co/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S0120-02832020000100039&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.co/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S0120-02832020000100039&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Se llevó a cabo un muestreo de sedimentos fluviales en las microcuencas Chirimoyo y Guineo, en el sector Puyango, provincia de Loja, Ecuador, con el fin de hacer un estudio de prospección geoquímica, determinando valores anómalos estadísticamente de CaO (&gt;3,46% en peso), MnO (&gt;0,26% en peso), P2O5 (&gt;12,63% en peso), V (&gt;693 ppm), Zn (&gt;709 ppm), Cu (&gt;108 ppm) y valores subanómalos de U (&gt;60 ppm) y Ni (&gt;232 ppm) para la subcuenca Chirimoyo. En cuanto a la subcuenca Guineo se determinaron los siguientes valores anómalos: MnO (&gt;0,47% en peso), TiO2 (&gt;1,16% en peso), valores subanómalos de CaO (&gt;7,01% en peso), P2O5 (&gt;0,96% en peso), V (&gt;1903 ppm), U (&gt;50 ppm), Ni (&gt;451 ppm) y Zn (&gt;1306 ppm). De acuerdo a los mapas de anomalías geoquímicas los valores más altos de vanadio (2520 ppm en Guineo), uranio (70 ppm en Chirimoyo), zinc (1445 ppm en Guineo) y níquel (629 ppm en Guineo) se asocian a la parte norte de ambas microcuencas, específicamente en el norte de la microcuenca Guineo cercano al sector de La Sota, en donde afloran las rocas sedimentarias de la Formación Puyango, que contienen calizas bituminosas y lutitas negras calcáreas, las cuales puedan estar albergando mineralizaciones de estos elementos, esto se evidencia por los valores altos de Ca, lo que indica un origen carbonático de los sedimentos. Los sedimentos están compuestos principalmente de silicatos y aluminosilicatos (arcillas y micas), en menor proporción óxi-hidróxidos de Fe-Ti: goetita, magnetita y anatasa. Adicionalmente se detectó calcita y circón en dos muestras. Existe la presencia de minerales de vanadio como sherwoodita, rosita, ronneburgita y sincosita, lo cual corrobora las anomalías geoquímicas de vanadio determinadas mediante análisis químico.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT A sampling of stream sediments was carried out in the Chirimoyo and Guineo microbasins, at the Puyango sector, Loja province, Ecuador, in order to perform a study of geochemical exploration, in which were determined anomalous values for CaO (&gt;3.46wt%), MnO (&gt;0.26wt%), P2O5 (&gt;12.63wt%), V (&gt;693 ppm), Zn (&gt;709 ppm), Cu (&gt;108 ppm) and, subanomalous values of U (&gt;60 ppm) and, Ni (&gt;232 ppm) for the subbasin Chirimoyo. As for the Guineo subbasin, the following anomalous values were determined: MnO (&gt;0.47wt%), TiO2 (&gt;1.16wt%), subanomalous values of CaO (&gt;7.01wt%), P2O5 (&gt;0,96wt%), V (&gt;1903 ppm), U (&gt;50 ppm), Ni (&gt;451 ppm) and, Zn (&gt;1306 ppm). According to the geochemical anomalies maps the highest values of vanadium (2520 ppm in Guineo), uranium (70 ppm in Chirimoyo), zinc (1445 ppm in Guineo) and nickel (629 ppm in Guineo) are associated with the northern part of both microbasins, specifically in the north of the Guineo microbasin close to the La Sota sector, where the sedimentary rocks of the Puyango Formation appear, which contain bituminous limestones and calcareous black shales, which may be hosting mineralizations of these elements, this is evidenced by the high values of Ca, which indicates a carbonate origin of the sediments. The sediments are composed mainly of silicates and aluminosilicates (clays and micas), in smaller proportion oxy-hydroxides of Fe-Ti: goethite, magnetite and anatase. Additionally, calcite and zircon were detected in two samples. There is the presence of vanadium minerals such as sherwoodite, rossite, ronneburgite and sincosite, which corroborates the vanadium geochemical anomalies determined by chemical analysis.]]></p></abstract>
