Se realizó la búsqueda en las bases de datos Academic Search Complete®, Educational Source®, Science Direct®, Scopus®, Scielo® y Redalyc®. Como criterio de elegibilidad se consideró que los estudios se hubieran realizado con población estudiantil universitaria de por lo menos un país iberoamericano y que reportaran hallazgos independientemente de la metodología implementada. Un total de 43 artículos fueron seleccionados de manera posterior a la aplicación de los criterios de elegibilidad y a la eliminación de los duplicados. Se presenta información bibliométrica y se evalúan los alcances de los estudios a partir de su tipología metodológica. En la parte final se plantean algunas consideraciones sobre el estado de desarrollo de la autorregulación del aprendizaje en la región.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The aim of this study was to conduct a systematic review on empirical studies on self-regulated learning in Latin-American university students. The search was performed in the databases, Academic Search Complete®, Educational Source®, Science Direct®, Scopus®, Scielo®, and Redalyc®. The eligibility criteria were: studies had been conducted with a university student population of at least one Latin-American country, and report findings regardless of the methodology used. After eliminating duplicates, the review included a total of 43 papers that fulfilled the eligibility criteria. Bibliometric information is presented and the scope of the various studies is evaluated by their methodological approaches. Finally, some observations are made on the state of development of self-regulated learning in the region.]]></p></abstract>
