Estudios farmacológicos realizados con extractos demostraron actividades antimicrobiana, antioxidante, antinflamatoria, etc. La presencia de flavonoides y fenoles son responsables de estas actividades. El objetivo de este trabajo fue obtener extractos de Caléndula officinalis con diferentes solventes y determinar su caracterización fitoquímica. Los extractos de flores fueron sometidos a extracción por maceración simple con alcohol 96 °, metanol y mezcla hidroalcohólica, durante 24 h con agitación permanente. Se establecieron características organolépticas, fitoquímicas, actividad antioxidante mediante el índice de oxidación y determinación de los compuestos fenólicos por el método de Folin-Cicoalteu. Se realizaron mediciones de pH, análisis cromatográfico y marcha fitoquímica para evidenciar la presencia de metabolitos secundarios. El extracto hidroalcohólico presentó mejores características organolépticas, buen rendimiento y excelente índice de oxidación. La cuantificación de fenoles obtuvo buenos estándares en los tres extractos siendo superior el hidroalcohólico, los pH se presentaron en un rango de 6. La cromatografía determinó que los solventes de corridas fueron efectivas para la separación de compuestos, la referencia de fenoles y flavonoides utilizados como quercetina, rutina y ácido clorogénico fueron positivas. La marcha fitoquímica determinó la presencia de flavonoides, fenoles, alcaloides, glúcidos y antraquinonas en los metabolitos secundarios.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Calendula officinalis is a plant known for its therapeutic qualities, pharmacological studies carried out with extracts showed antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory activities, etc. The presence of flavoniodes and phenols are responsible for these activities. The objective of this work was to obtain Calendula officinalis extracts with different solvents and determine their phytochemical characterization. Flower extracts were obtained and subjected to extraction by simple maceration with 96 ° alcohol, methanol and a hydroalcoholic solution, for 24 h with permanent stirring. Organoleptic and phytochemical characteristics, antioxidant activity were established by means of the Oxidation index and determination of phenolic compounds by the Folin-Cicoalteu method. PH measurements, chromatographic analysis and phytochemical analysis were carried out to show the presence of secondary metabolites. The hydroalcoholic extract presented better organoleptic characteristics, good performance and excellent oxidation index. The quantification of phenols obtained good standards in the three extracts, the hydroalcholic being higher, the pHs were presented in a range of 6. The chromatography determined that the run solvents were effective for the separation of compounds, the reference of phenols and flavonoids used as quercetin, rutin, and chlorogenic acid were positive. The phytochemical march determined the presence of flavonoids, phenols, alkaloids, glycosides and anthraquinones in the secondary metabolites.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo Calendula officinalis é uma planta conhecida por suas qualidades terapêuticas. Estudos farmacológicos realizados com extratos demonstraram atividades antimicrobiana, antioxidante, antiinflamatória, etc. A presença de flavoniodos e fenóis são responsáveis por essas atividades. O objetivo deste trabalho foi obter extratos de Calendula officinalis com diferentes solventes e determinar sua caracterização fitoquímica. Extratos de flores foram obtidos e submetidos à extração por maceração simples com álcool 96°, metanol e mistura hidroalcoólica, por 24 h com agitação permanente. As características organolépticas, fitoquímicas e atividade antioxidante foram estabelecidas através do Índice de Oxidação e determinação dos compostos fenólicos pelo método de Folin-Cicoalteu. Medidas de pH, análises cromatográficas e análises fitoquímicas foram realizadas para mostrar a presença de metabólitos secundários. O extrato hidroalcoólico apresentou melhores características organolépticas, bom desempenho e excelente índice de oxidação. A quantificação dos fenóis obteve bons padrões nos três extratos, sendo o hidroalcólico superior, os pHs se apresentaram na faixa de 6. A cromatografia determinou que os solventes corridos foram eficazes para a separação de compostos, a referência dos fenóis e flavonóides utilizados como quercetina, rutina e ácido clorogênico foram positivos. A marcha fitoquímica determinou a presença de flavonóides, fenóis, alcalóides, glicosídeos e antraquinonas nos metabólitos secundários.]]></p></abstract>
