Se a concepção do sujeito autônomo implicou a negação da alteridade e o abandono das metáforas de transcendência para a salvação, a irrupção da subjetividade pós-moderna marca a impossibilidade de conceber a humanidade fora da religação com o outro e com a transcendência. Nesse novo contexto, o fenômeno do retorno do religioso surge como sinal dos tempos pós-modernos: sinal de reencantamento da cultura e abertura à outra ordem da existência. É a oportunidade de reabilitar a experiência com o Mistério transcendente do real, cultivado por todas as tradições religiosas, que em linguagem monoteísta chamamos Deus.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract We describe the epistemological rupture between modern rationality and postmodern rationality, regarding the religious experience and the event of subjectivity from the thought of Carlos Mendoza Álvarez. If the conception of the autonomous subject implied the negation of otherness and the abandonment of the metaphors of transcendence for salvation, the irruption of postmodern subjectivity marks the impossibility of conceiving humanity outside of reconnection with the other and with transcendence. In this context, the phenomenon of the return of the religious emerges as a sign of postmodern times: a sign of re-enchantment of culture and openness to the other order of existence. It is the opportunity to rehabilitate the experience with the transcendent Mystery of the real, cultivated by all the religious traditions, which in monotheistic language we call God.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Se describe la ruptura epistemológica entre la racionalidad moderna y la racionalidad posmoderna, en lo que se refiere a la experiencia religiosa y el acontecimiento de la subjetividad a partir del pensamiento teológico de Carlos Mendoza Álvarez. Si la concepción del sujeto autónomo implicó la negación de la alteridad y el abandono de las metáforas de la trascendencia para la salvación, la irrupción de la subjetividad posmoderna marca la imposibilidad de concebir a la humanidad fuera de la religación con el otro y con la trascendencia. En este nuevo contexto, el fenómeno del retorno de lo religioso surge como señal de los tiempos posmodernos: signo de reencantamiento de la cultura y apertura al otro orden de la existencia. Es la oportunidad de rehabilitar la experiencia con el misterio trascendente de lo real, cultivado por todas las tradiciones religiosas, que en lenguaje monoteísta llamamos Dios.]]></p></abstract>
